This weekend we al worked on our part of the presentation. Some of us could not find information others found very useful things. We said we would post the definition of "viral marketing" so here it is: Viral marketing and viral advertising refer to marketing techniques that seek to exploit pre-existing social networks to produce exponential increases in brand awareness, through self-replicating viral processes, analagous to the spread of a computer virus. It can often be word-of-mouth delivered and enhanced online; it can harness the network effect of the Internet and can be very useful in reaching a large number of people rapidly. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_marketing ) The defintition we used comes from Wikipedia and we literally copied that, just so we know that we use the correct explanation for this new marketing.
In our next blog we will report on the information everyone has found.

Even Philip Kotler was talking about it (75 years old, check the video stream I sent you). There are two elements that make it a powerful instrument:
it influences your mind set without you knowing it, it is "cheap". It also makes it possible for you to position your brand, artist etc imagine you get an internship at a record company tomorrow, how would you use it??
